[What’s New] Gamefound invites local campaigns

For the past few years, we’ve been working hard to provide a localized experience on Gamefound. Our platform is now available in eight languages, allowing creators to create different project pages for each language while maintaining a single funding goal. Additionally, we offer various local payment methods based on backers’ locations (PayPal, Klarna, or Blik, to name the few).

We’re often asked whether it’s possible to run a campaign exclusively for a specific country. The answer is yes! We’ve already hosted several successful non-English campaigns in German, Polish, and Spanish. Now, we’re excited to open the doors even wider for local-language campaigns. We know that many creators turn to local crowdfunding services, but these often come with fewer features and limited reach. By running all your campaigns on Gamefound, you not only gain access to a full suite of tools designed for gaming projects, but you also benefit from a larger, engaged community that stays with you beyond a single campaign helping you grow your audience for the long term.

Few things to keep in mind:
  • To ensure transparency for our global audience, please clearly state on your English project page (both in the short description and at the top of the Project Story) that your campaign is limited to a specific language or country other than English.
  • While the backer-facing side of Gamefound is localized, the admin panel is currently available only in English. A working knowledge of English is required to use the system.
  • Our team is talented and growing, but we don’t speak every language yet (maybe in the future!). We prefer to communicate in English, but we’re open to using translators. If you have any questions or need support, feel free to reach out in your preferred language.
  • If you want to run separate campaigns for the same project in different languages, that’s possible too.
